Hi, thank you for your review, we have a care guide under all products pages that will show you what’s best for the charms to prevent this issue, definitely with the gauntlet being gold plated, gold plating is very fragile material

You can try letting it soak in warm soapy water, usually dish soap is best, let it soak for around 10 to 15 minutes, then using a microfibre cloth you can dry and and make sure your cleaning it as you dry it, that would leave it as good as new,

Or if you have an ultrasonic cleaner that would be even better
